Senior Network Specialist / Solutions Architect who has the CCIE Certification number and be the face of the company. You will need to have a broad background including passive infrastructure such as cabling and active networks not just in CISCO but also across Juniper, Alcatel etc.
This is an exceptional role that ideally will be based in India however if you are in Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China or Malaysia this opportunity is still available if you are prepared to spend 6 months at a time in India.
Role: Network Design and Architecture Specialist
Experience: 10-15 Years of experience in Network Design, Implementation and Commissioning.
Educational & Role Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences; else any graduate degree with strong Network Design and Implementation experience in enterprise infrastructure based solutions
Must have previous hands on experience in designing, implementing and commissioning a large network exceeding 15000 nodes.
Proficient in MPLS, ATM, Frame Relay Networks, WAN, Voice infrastructures
Familiar with Internetworking products like Routers, Switches, VPNs, Proxies, Firewalls etc
Must have good ability to communicate in written and verbal manner to drive points effectively and efficiently.
Experience in Designing and implementing Passive Network infrastructure (CAT5, CAT6, OSP, Fiber) cables
Should be familiar with various types of Cable trays, raceways, ladders, Duct banks, and their installation procedures
Certifications:
· Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) -> Required
· Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) -> Required
· Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) -> Required
· Certified Fiber Optics Technician (CFOT) of FOA or equivalent -> Required
· Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) -> Optional
· Extreme Network Specialist (ENS) -> Required
· ISO 27001 (BS 7799) Lead Auditor -> Optional
Job Description
1 – Network Design, Implementation, and Commissioning
Design Network Architecture in line with the Customer’s Functional requirements.
Support Implementation and Commissioning of MPLS, ATM, Frame Relay, WAN and Voice networks
Consult and Demonstrate expertise in Routing protocols with emphasis on OSPF, EIGRP
Provide specifications and detailed schematics of network architecture
Study Structural Drawings and design passive infrastructure for large networks
2 – Consulting -> Evaluation of Design, Product Selection, Risk Assessment and Management
Evaluate active and passive network designs
Evaluate multiple vendor products (OEMs) and recommend best fit product stack for customer
Review the design progress on an on-going basis till commissioning and highlight potential Risks periodically.
Review Security risks to the network and Recommend mitigations if required.
